Melissa Says: Though I tested this in one of the Bronzer shades (Golden Bronze), I think I can sufficiently give you the basic things you need to know about those as well as the Blush shades. First of all, the teeny-tiny little brush in the case is ridiculous, unless you're going to try putting the blush on a Barbie. However, we don't really expect ideal-sized brushes in drugstore compacts most of the time these days. When moving to one of my own, larger, brushes I began to realize just how quickly the blush would disintegrate into lots of excess loose powder on the edges of the compact. Sadly, within only slightly over two weeks of use, I started to see the bottom of the compact already!

Though the color goes on pretty, sheer, and stays true, it's a shame that I could only recommend this as a worthwhile purchase if Revlon finds a way to make the product last longer or just goes ahead and makes it a loose formula to begin with.

NY Fashion Week: "Fresh Out of the Water" at Herve Leger by Max Azria

The inspiration for the look at Herve Leger by Max Azria was the girls from the Bond movies. The make-up artist wanted to highlight beautiful skin with honed bones. The focus of the look? A wet eye, which they achieved with MAC gold Pigment. The eye was outlined with MAC Technakohl Eyeliner in Photogravure to give it an additional punch along with a nice coat of MAC Plushlash. To give additional focus to the eyes, the artist used a "chalky" lip. Beyond a simple nude, it was a pale, pale matte pink that had the effect of erasing the lips from the model's face.

The result was a simple, sophisticated look that is pretty and wearable for those with warmer skin tones. If you've got blue undertones, you can still achieve the look, but I would recommend a little more color on the lips to avoid looking frostbitten.
