Review: Chanel Teint Innocence Naturally Luminous Fluid Makeup SPF 12

What They Say: " As seen in Allure magazine (April 2007 issue, p74). Pure lightness, this new liquid makeup from CHANEL provides dream coverage. A unique formula allows skin's natural glow to show through while it evens out skin tone and helps to conceal imperfections. In 13 perfectly natural shades. "

Jen's Experience: While normally I'm a full coverage kind of girl, during the summer months I generally feel the need to go with something a little more lightweight. I often go with Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, but since Chanel foundations have always worked out so well for me, I thought I would try out this one. Like the Laura Mercier moisturizer, this one feels super-lightweight, so I never feel like there's a coating on my face. I like the way it evens out my skintone, but I do feel like the effect is sort of fleeting. When I get back home at night, the effects of the foundation are gone. Indeed, when I wash my face at night, there's not a speck of color on my washcloth. I like the way it looks when I leave in the morning, I just wish it would stay put. For someone looking for something lightweight, much like a tinted moisturizer, this is a decent enough choice, but for those of you looking for all day coverage with something lightweight, sadly this is not the holy grail of foundations.

Retail Price: $42.50 (Neiman Marcus and other department stores)
