Nars Lip Gloss in Pillow Talk

Melissa's DeLush Downlow: This is one of the two new shades Nars has come out with recently in their gloss. I've never tried it, so of course being a lipgloss fiend like myself I had to get some. My experience with it so far has been fairly positive. There isn't a taste to it at all - which is better than a bad one. The texture is completely not sticky - perhaps the least sticky lip gloss I've ever tried. So, plus on that point. And of course, the color is pretty. However, I've noticed it disappearing into the lips quickly with a blurry edge, and wouldn't exactly describe it as "pigment-dense". The consistency is actually quite thin. Great range of colors, though. If you prefer something completely natural-feeling with a sheer finish, this could be your best bet. Or try these over your lipstick for added oomph.

NY Fashion Week: "Fresh Out of the Water" at Herve Leger by Max Azria

The inspiration for the look at Herve Leger by Max Azria was the girls from the Bond movies. The make-up artist wanted to highlight beautiful skin with honed bones. The focus of the look? A wet eye, which they achieved with MAC gold Pigment. The eye was outlined with MAC Technakohl Eyeliner in Photogravure to give it an additional punch along with a nice coat of MAC Plushlash. To give additional focus to the eyes, the artist used a "chalky" lip. Beyond a simple nude, it was a pale, pale matte pink that had the effect of erasing the lips from the model's face.

The result was a simple, sophisticated look that is pretty and wearable for those with warmer skin tones. If you've got blue undertones, you can still achieve the look, but I would recommend a little more color on the lips to avoid looking frostbitten.
